There are two different versions of lifting pole sockets. The welded version is distinguished from the cham-fered version of lifting pole sockets.The root of the sockets can be installed in different chamfers, from 90° to nearly 0°. Despite intensive tests, potentially the stability might not be sufficient, espe-cially in case of swivelling of the lifting poles. Due to de-viation in batches, faulty shaped lifting pole sockets can lead to a slip through of the lifting pole and to the risk of injuries.
Hermann Bock GmbH recommends as an additional measure of safety the retrofit of all chamfered lifting pole sockets. This risk does not exist for the welded sockets.
